Boxing

Many people are now looking to train and learn boxing.

Training to be a boxer will not only improve your body, it will improve your mind.

The first impression people have with this sport is they will have to get in the ring and hit people. In reality, that is not true. Some people when they take up the sport are indeed training to be boxers. However, there are a growing number of new people who are taking up the sport for the health related benefits boxing provides.

Come and train at one of the best Brazilian jiu-jitsu training programs around, and see how BJJ promotes physical fitness, builds character, and is ultimately a way of life.

Benefits of boxing

First and foremost the cardio strength and endurance you will receive even after only a couple of weeks of working out are noticeably improved. As an extra to the physical benefits, you will learn techniques and punching combinations.

Boxing class in MK Boxing Gym

It is physical training, endurance, and skill that are offered to coed clients at our gym.

Several of the routines you will do while boxing training is jump roping, jogging, stretching, shadow boxing, hitting the heavy bag, and hitting the speed bag. You will learn how to slip, and avoid strikes. People will also learn different partner drills and will train on the focus mitts. Some of these are unique to boxing training. All of them tone your body and strengthen your heart and cardiovascular system.

Since some of these routines are different from the typical cardio routine, they can be fun and challenging. We have a number of beginner, and advanced boxing classes offered at this gym. The sport of boxing can be quite safe if done properly. For those that would like to compete, that option is offered at MK Boxing.
